FULL TIME ACADEMY DESCRIPTION The goal of the Full Time Junior Program is to prepare junior golfers for the rigors of the collegiate golf atmosphere. Monday through Friday Junior Golfers participate in a demanding and rewarding schedule of school, golf, fitness, nutrition, and study. Competition is an integral part of player development. For this reason coaches travel with the players to 11 nationally ranked events during the year. Saturday and Sunday are optional days for training, practice, and tournament travel. Students may also take the weekends to enjoy the numerous activities available in the Jacksonville and St. Augustine areas. The first few days of a student's arrival at the Tom Burnett Golf Academy will consist of full evaluations of their golf game, physical fitness, and mental efficiency. This includes video analysis, 3-D animated and graphical analysis of the student's golf swing, a full body physical evaluation performed by a personal trainer, and an on course evaluation by our sports psychologist. Once everything is assessed, a plan and goals will be set to help the player improve every area of his/her game. The players improvement will be measured not only by the video analysis, the 3-D imaging, lauch monitor ballistic information, Science and Motion Putting Software, but most importantly by his/her performance on the golf course and ability to achieve set goals. Achieving these performance goals ultimately comes from the allignment of the technical, physical, mental, and equipment improvements. As these improvments become evident, focusing on the athletic training and peridization schedule allows a player to play his/her best possible golf on command. At the Tom Burnett Golf Academy, we look forward to the process of helping players of all skill levels achieve their dreams.
